How We Help
千里之行,始於足下:
—Laozi
A journey of a thousand miles
begins with a single step.
As described below, the scope of our engagement generally encompasses two phases: (1) Planning and (2) Investment Management. Planning is at the core of our service proposition because it establishes the roadmap of how we can best guide our clients forward. A common misconception is that investing alone constitutes a financial plan—nothing can be further from the truth. Only through the planning process can we evaluate our client’s probability of success and recommend tools and strategies, including portfolio solutions, to be implemented.
Planning
The ultimate objective of any planning process is to afford clients the luxury of making informed decisions about their financial life. Most commonly, clients have turned to us for advice on planning components that include:

A. Hourly Financial Planning
Process Highlights
- A complimentary 30-minute initial consultation to learn about a client’s needs and ascertain if our approach and philosophy are the right fit.
- A 60-90 minute discovery meeting, where we begin the conversation about the client’s current financial position and gather information necessary to assess the situation. This will include a more in-depth discussion of the client’s goals, time frame and risk preference.
- A 60-90 minute recommendations meeting, which includes a summary of current net worth and recommendations in any areas of concern as dictated by the scope of engagement.

B. Comprehensive Personal Advisory
Process Highlights
- We kick off the relationship with three meetings, similar to those outlined under the Hourly Financial Planning process. A comprehensive report will be delivered.
- A 60-90 minute Implementation meeting, where we will put the client’s plan into motion and coordinate with other professional as necessary.
- 60-minute follow-up meetings every six months to monitor client’s progress towards goals. Additionally, we will review and update selected financial planning and investment consulting recommendations every year.
- Clients are encouraged to contact us for ongoing support via phone/email for those “one-off” questions or as situations arise.

Investment Management
For clients who have engaged WWA for either the Hourly Financial Planning or Comprehensive Personal Advisory offering, we also offer investment management as an “add-on” solution. No one can consistently time or predict the market correctly, and in an investment landscape littered with market noises and investment fads, we believe the only rational long-term approach to investing is a well-diversified portfolio. Furthermore, WWA favors index-based investments for their efficiency and low costs.

Portfolio Management Services
Process Highlights
- A 30-minute complimentary introduction meeting to discuss investment needs and determine whether WWA’s investment solution may be appropriate.
- A 60-minute investment meeting where we will gain a better understanding of investing experiences and current financial situation. We will also assess the client’s risk tolerance and learn about the goals and values that will ultimately drive the asset allocation decision.
- A 60-90 minute portfolio meeting where we formulate and present a portfolio strategy to our client for feedback and execution, as appropriate.
- A 60-minute annual review meeting, whereby the main goals are to review the investment account to ensure the target allocation is maintained, determine if risks have changed and whether rebalancing is appropriate. Client portfolios are reviewed by WWA on a quarterly basis, at the very least, and more frequently as warranted by market conditions.
